Welcome to the “Spelling bee” contest. We are really glad to see you all here today. Today is an exciting day, to me, and my talented students from 8th grades, to show their knowledge of the English language. My Dear students, I know you’ll do your best I just want to wish all of you good luck! And let the Best to win the game. Before starting our contest, let me introduce the judges and the contestants. The Judges: 1st – Mukhametzhanova Bagira – teacher of English 2nd – Kazhybaeva Asel - teacher of English 3rd – Suleimenova Alina - teacher of English The Contestants: 1. Konarbaeva Bibidana – 8th “A” grade 2. Tleuken Nurai - 8th “A” grade 3. Ganieva Anora - 8th “A’” grade 4. Karakozhaeva Alua – 8th “A’” grade 5. Satibaldy Almarua – 8th “B” grade 6. Kozy Lagyl - 8th “B” grade 7. Tarlabek Aisha – 8th “V” grade 8. Duisen Almira – 8th “G” grade Contest rounds: 1 – round: is called “Spelling time”. 2-round: Break your tongue with tongue – twisters! 3-round: Word chain 4-round: Review with Kahoot.it. The Rules of competition: 1 – этап: is called “Spelling time”. Students will be given 10 words to spell. They’re allowed to ask questions as: Can you repeat the word, please? Which part of speech? Can you give me definition, please? Evaluation: For each correct answered word, they’ll get 1 point.

    The Rules of competition:1 – этап: is called “Spelling time”. Students will be given 10 words to spell. They’re allowed to ask questions as: Can you repeat the word, please? Which part of speech? Can you give me definition, please? Evaluation: For each correct answered word, they’ll get 1 point.

    2-этап: Break your tongue with tongue – twisters! Each Student will be given 2 tongue-twisters. A minute to get ready. Students have to read the given tongue-twisters 3 times as quickly as possible.
  • I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much. 


  • To begin to toboggan first, buy a toboggan. But do not buy too big a toboggan! Too big a toboggan is too big a toboggan to buy to begin to toboggan.

  • A twister of twists once twisted a twist. and the twist that he twisted was a three twisted twist. now in twisting this twist, if a twist should untwist, would the twist that untwisted untwist the twists. 


  • How many berries could a bare berry carry, if a bare berry could carry berries? Well they can't carry berries (which could make you very wary) but a bare berry carried is more scary! 


  • How many cans can a cannibal nibble if a cannibal can nibble cans? As many cans as a cannibal can nibble if a cannibal can nibble cans. 
  • Mary Mac's mother's making Mary Mac marry me. My mother's making me marry Mary Mac. Will I always be so Merry when Mary's taking care of me? Will I always be so merry when I marry Mary Mac? 
  • How many cookies could a good cook cook If a good cook could cook cookies? A good cook could cook as much cookies As a good cook who could cook cookies. 
  • 3-этап: Word chainTeacher says one word, to the last letter of the word next student should say another new word. The student who can’t say any word to given letter will be out of the game. Game continues until one student left.

    4-этап: Kahoot.it. login: 144014. In the interactive board students will answer to the questions by choosing one of answers using their mobile phone which is connected to the internet. At the end of the test we’ll see the winner.



    While the Judges are определять-ing the Winner of today’s contest, let’s get relaxed watching funny short video. I see Contestants really need some break.

    Finally, time to know the winner – The best spelling bee among 8th grades of our school. We congratulate you …… You are all unbelievable spellers!
